The Night is a Starry Dome

This etching visually is very influenced by the heavy grained woodcut. The standing figure is surrounded by mysteron-light shapes which are reminiscent of knots found in wood grain. There are two sorts of time going on here; the slow turn of the universe and the faster terrestrial pain of love and loss in our every day life. – TH
