Outport II

Outport was made after seeing some images of boarded up sub-prime houses in North America. Though a common sight in rural communities in Newfoundland, it was shocking to see so many suburban houses boarded up like this. I was also trying to make a counterpoint to some recent paintings like the one reproduced here – of houses all lit up and full of life.
