Interference

Two friends work in the edgelands of a meadow and a vegetable patch. Like in a scene from a 70’s  sci-fi film where a cinematographer expressionistically reverts to projecting light through the negatives of celluloid film-stock, the heightened colour of reds and pinks are the literal complimentary opposites of an edenic pastoral landscape found in southern England. The lush early summer picture-book countryside of my memory of a more verdant childhood, has been replaced by the coral and candy floss colours of an artificial  grassland savannah - TH
