Heatwave

This painting resurfaced from years back recently.Washed out like a polaroid camera on flash mode, I always liked it and its softness, imagining the brightness of the day seen pink by nephew Louis through his almost translucent eyelids.And worrying of the paleness of his skin, soon to be roasted and burnt by the heat of the sun- just like in brilliant Dennis Oppenheim's Reading Position for Second Degree Burn, made in 1970 - TH
