Great Village

Great Village was the childhood home of Elizabeth Bishop, the American poet. On the Western edge of Nova Scotia, it overlooks the Bay of Fundy, Home of the Great Tides as she wrote in her incredible poem The Moose. Bishop had a passion for The Maritimes, and though she lived for a long time in Brazil and The States, Atlantic Canada was the setting for several of her greatest poems
