Dusk 2022

Dusk 2022 is a night painting that came out of drawings from the an extended visit after lockdown to my sister’s house. It’s a kind of detail of the intricate woodcut, also in the show, called Koodge’s Garden. The roof glass of the green house reflects the last violet colour in the night sky while daisies and hyacinth flowers come out at night and fill the air with their scent. Koodge, shy, looks back at the viewer from this corner of the eden she has nurtured. - TH
